Default LS1 or Predator ?

I see alot of posts on the subjects, i was wondering what the opinions are out there. I may get a supercharger in the future, headers, cat-back. I already have a modified intake system and HPP3 which the later I will be selling. So with these mods in mind which is best and for what reasons?
Oh yeah, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has replied to any of my posts. This site has to be the best I know of anyway!!

There has to be at least a dozen people in this site who have either one of these. Is this top secret info or what?
Maybe they make 450rwhp, and no one wants us to know.

Sorry to leave out the vendors on this one, but Edit is a must have for those mods. Not even a questionable subject. Edit is not really user friendly, and there is no how to, so you have to learn it all yourself, or with help, like the rest of us are doing. Sam

I'm really just trying to find out which is the most versatile and easiest to use. I am not a computer expert but not a novice either. I think the programs cannot be much harder to figure out than a cad cam system and I use that daily. I do know what you are saying about finding the numbers that work for your particalar mods. That could be alot of trial and error. Just want opinions on which is the best for what reasons. Thanks guys.

well, predator lets you change tire size, gear ratio, along with spark advance or retard, also it lets you raise the speed limiter to 128. It has a lot of other features, here is a link that tells you what all it does.

I recently fried my new 03's computer/PCM/ECU with a predator, caused by a messed up custom tune from diablo! Luckily repairs for my truck were made free under warranty. I had used the predator for months with no problems but once I tried to install a custom tune thats when the ECU was fried.

I just returned my predator and plan to get ls1edit.
Personally any computer programmer that can fry my ECU like that is not worth the risk. SO Im getting ls1edit. It should be safer to use AND provides WAY more tuneability. I also think relying on some guy at Diablo to make you a custom tune (like I did) is a risky proposition. Ls1edit puts all the control in your hands.

I guess from some of the replies predator is not much better than a HPP3. The performance tuning may be a little better, but I did not see huge gains from the HPP3. What I did like from HPP3 was the increse in shift firmness, speed limiter elimination, and the rpm limit increase. Thanks again for the opinions from Marine Blue and Goshawk. Anyone ever hear of a HPP3 frying your computer?
