So your IDC was at 50%. You'd only be using half of what your injectors max out at.

After doing some research, I think 42# might be overkill. A naturally aspirated 400hp engine rating at 80% IDC should require 32# injectors.
I will now more when I actually have the engine in and the tuner is looking at IDC. Not going to purchase anything until this happens.

On trucks and SUVs, were the stock injectors the short ones, aka mini? Is the only direct higher flow replacement Delphi 8.1 marine injectors at 42#? I have searching my *** off and can only find the Delphi 42# listed as a replacement.
On-line calculators come up with 36#. I believe 42# may be overkill. But if they are the only replacement that does not require fuel rail modification, then I guess that is what I need to get.
Again this will be on a truck style intake/fuel rail for LQ9 swap.

when I first installed my cammed LQ9, my IDC was @ 95% without the nitrous, so I had to go with some 42lbers for the nitrous,
I dont think there is such thing as an overkill on the injectors, what if you decide to spray it later on? you wont have to worry about injectors anymore... check the classifieds, you can get them there for about $250...
