Default Will a 6.0 4l80 swap run on a 4.8 tune

I'm just about to start the swap and was wondering if I can start the motor to get all fluids full and everything doubled checked before I tow it to the tuner.

Started my built 6.0 on my 5.3 tune..... Just dont do anything stupid with it, just let it idle and make sure everythings good, would not recommend driving it more than maybe onto a trailer though

It should be alright to just let it warm up and idle.

How did you connect the 80.... May not even move if segment swap isnt done... Umless you went with the frost harness over the repin..... Tuner may be able to flash your pcm, to get it so you can drive it there as a base tune or whatever...

I woukd see if your tuner can reflash the pcm with base tune if you bring it to them, save tow bill!! sometimes they will aspart of tuning process... I didnt swap transmissions but truck idled long enough in gear to back it out of garage so tow truck could pick her up.... I was cut short on the space to work on it so i had to have her towed to work to send pcm out for the initial tune and then drove it two hours to tuner.... Was not paying the tow bill for that one much cheaper to fill my boys gas tank to follow me there!!!
