Default Wil EFILive work on a 03 truck?

Originally a 5.3, now has a 6.0 motor in it

Want to use bidirectional controls to keep it from downshifting

Do you mean if you have efi for the 5.3 will it work on the 6.0?

Your EFI should work on all of em. I think the only restriction is the type.. like GM vehicles. My buddies EFI he uses on his 02 works fine on my 00, bidirectional and all

Works on mine. The v6 bidirectional is a little different than the v5. I haven't used the tranny setting yet on v6 though.

Hit Control+F11 and the "Control Panel" for the bi-directional controls should come up on the right hand side of the screen.

DOH! The only reason I ever use v6 is for the Bi controls. I really like v5 better overall, seems easier to use.

the bidirectional stuff doesn't work so great on my truck, it is an 03 and i am using v6.

i seem to not be geting a good signal between the truck and the laptop, not sure where the problem is but there is missing data in my logs, it will just stop reading for 1/2sec or so sometimes. i think that is what is killing the bidirectional control.

i recently set up my tow haul button for dyno runs, i haven't got to try it yet but it works on the street. it shift into 2nd at 10mph and locks the converter at 12mph and then i can floor it and it will stay locked in 2nd all the way to 120mph(7000+rpm).
