Default Why does my cat sound like this?

Sounds like something broke loose inside. Any ideas? I have pushed on it and pulled on it to see if it was the case or somethnig. Has to be internal.

looks like one cat is backwards. last i checked the tubes coming off a cat are for air pumps. but the tubes should face forward

second sounds like the ceramic came lose and is bouncing around inside.

easy fix remove them and hollow them out

nope!!! tubes on cats are for air pumps. its so you can have air pumped into a cat to help cool it so it doesnt heat up and melt and get clogged. cheap cats have those along with older stock production ones

THOSE TUBES ARE FOR AIR INJECTION SYSTEM.... BUT NOT FOR COOLING THEM.... IT WAS TO ADD MORE OXYGEN SO THE CATS WOULD "LIGHT OFF" QUICKER... OR GET HOT FASTER.... THEY WERE INTENDED AS ANOTHER WAY TO REDUCE EMISSIONS SO THAT WHEN YOU START THE VEHICLE THE CATS WORK QUICKER...

AND YES YOUR CATS ARE YOU NEED TO REPLACE THEM OR EVENTUALLY A PIECE COULD LODGE ITSELF IN THE OUTLET AND CAUSE EXCESSIVE BACKPRESSURE WHICH WILL MAKE IT RUN HORRIBLE
