Default Why did my fuel pressure go up?

A few days ago I would idle around 56 psi and cruise at low rpm-low boost arount 58-60, and hit just over 65 at WOT. Now I idle around 59 psi, cruise at 62-63, and WOT hits almost 70. What's going on? I have the stock in-tank and the Walbro in-line that came with the Radix. Is one of them getting ready to take a crap on me?

Put your test guage on, read pressure at idle. Pull the vacuum line off the FPR and it should go up about 10psi.
I thought stock these engines had about 52psi idle and about 60 for WOT (pulled vacuum hose)?

Now that I think about, even if your FPR was bad, it should only cause your pressure to be around 60psi. Where that extra 10psi is coming from is beyond me. Possible a pump going out but I wouldn't expect it to make more pressure when its bad.

The extra pump for the Radix shoots it up past 60, I think you're talking about just a stock fuel system. I still think I'm about 5psi higher than I should be, I think the Radix pump is supposed to take it up to 64 or 65.

How could that happen? If everything is going through the filter......and if it did happen, how would I fix it? New return line? Is there some kind of additive I can run through a tank of gas to clean things out?

thunder, if you are a return system you should idle around 52-54 psi. WOT up to 60-62 psi stock. The fpr is what does this not the inline. The inline helps support the extra demand due to the boost. The fpr is boost referenced hence it going to 64-65 even 70+ for parish being the boost hog he is.

on the return line being blocked some how...you just did a swap right? On the drivers engine bay going down under the truck make sure you didn't pinch the metal lines some how. Wasn't it you I remember pulling the motor and trans together out at once. I am sure that was a TIGHT *** fit coming out of there.

Pull the line on your fpr, see what happens.

Electronic gauge? or mechanical? electronic, rule out electrical interference.
