Default why am I slower with yank3000?

I guess nodbody read my "anyone with LS1Edit" post, but I am very upset about getting a tenth of a second slower and 2 miles an hour slower with a Yank3000 over the factory stall. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Shouldn't I gain around a half a second? I had some wheel spin but not a half a second. I ran 6 times at the track. One run, I made a 14.8 like I had with my stock converter!!! The rest 14.9, 15.2??????? Anyone tell me what's going on???????

You did break the converter in correctly right?

What 60' times are you running now vs stock?

You'd be suprised that every .1sec in the 60' times equates to about .2sec in the 1/4 from what I have read (could be wrong tho'). So if you spin for .25 sec in the 60' that will give you .5sec total...

Get some hardcore traction and try again. Maybe TqMgt is knocking on your door...?

What were your 60, before and after. Mark you tire so someone can watch how much you really are spinning. Are those nittos drag radials and if there not your times prolly didn't improve because your spinning more with the stall. Are you letting it shift or manually doing it. Also remember There's something about our 99's. I wouldn't try to compare to Lotsofun,I don't, His Truck is a Great example of what can be done.

my stock 60ft times were 2.128 was best at 14.806@91.1mph

With Yank300 my best was 2.059 60ft at 14.862@89.63mph!!!

THAT IS WACKED!!!

Was it a lot hotter when you ran with the Yank.If it was about 60 degrees when you made your best runs and close to 90 degrees with high humidity when you made your last runs the difference would be about right.

weather makes that big of a difference? It was cooler the first time.

Does anyone have any kind of chart or graph or equation for how much temperature affects power? Any ballpark example?

This isn't very scientific but, will give you an idea of how weather affects power.

My '00 SS bone stock with a couple thousand miles went 13.15 @ 106 in 40 degree weather. I modded it with some bolt ons and a Y3200 converter. Now the weather was very bad(90's 80% humidity) and I took it to the track. I could only run a 13.11 @ 103-4 with it and was kinda pissed. I figured I should be quite a bit faster with the mods but, knew the weather was worse. Fast forward to the fall. I go back to the track and the weather is cold(low 40's). The car felt strong. With the same exact setup as the mid summer run it went a 12.68 @ 108. That's a difference of .43 seconds and 4 mph.

Try it again when you have similiar weather conditions and see how things go.
