Default Who's running a giant magnaflow?

What do you guys think of the big ones?I am about to go off on a 5x11 22" long 3"duals in and the same out.Oxidizer likes the 5x8s for tone and ease of install but i do not want resonance ,but i know i will get itwith what ever i install. What i noticed is magnaflow uses the 5x11 cases on all there 6.0s and 8.1s and some 5.7s,I know whatever magnaflow i go with it will flow better than this OE HD muffler, which is whisper quiet most all the time.

you went with a pair of 18s?,you get no noise at 70mph, how about 50-60mph?The most drone you get with these trucks is low speed 30-40 light load at 1600-1900rpms.OEM is the only way to elliminate that.See i am setting myself up for no disapointment.

I have one on my F-150. It's 5x11x22 and pretty damn quiet with tailpipes. It doesn't resonate on freeway cruise. It's pretty damn silent and I've got Hooker longtubes on it too.

Well hell, maybe i do want the big 5x8 24" dual 3" in single 3" out,Oxidizer likes this for more tone on the 6.0,I want tone i just dont want drone. THERE IS NO PERFECT MUFFLER.Doesnt the new maxima have a muffler that has a internal chamber that opens at or near WOT? now that could be the ticket something like that.

base on my own experiences, the 5x8x24 would drone a heck of a lot more than the 5x11x22.

i had a 4x9x14 on my truck before i got the 5x8x18, and it was 10 times more resonance inside.

ive always wondered about a muffler that could open up at WOT. neat idea

you should consider GIBSON. they are VERY quiet mufflers and flow pretty well.

I have one of the largest ones.......I think the 5x11x22 - not sure - but its really quiet overall compared to other mufflers - and no resonance at all at 80. When I want it loud I press the cutout button

I also have a single 3" 5x11x22 and it's very quiet. I really like it since I don't like very loud exhausts.
