Who's got LS1 fans and the VSC?
#1
Okay since this VSC has a single fan hookup, how the hell am I going to wire up both fans?
Will I need to: Take POS from VSC -> POS on Fan No.1; NEG from Fan No.1 -> POS on Fan No.2; NEG on Fan No.2 -> NEG on VSC?
Do I need a 30A relay hooked to the VSC fan output then hook the fans to the Relay?
Help a brotha' out!

I think you just wire the POS wires together from the fans and then just wire them into whatever the appropriate spot is on the VSC. Then do the same with the NEG wires. The VSC instructions could be kinda confusing on fans without the appropriate color wires but, they say which wires to hook together.
The fuse should be on the main battery cable that hooks to the #4 terminal of the VSC. I'll verify that tomorrow but, I'm pretty sure looking at the instructions that's how it goes.

On the Flex fans they come unwired .. they are 2 different fans and they give you some fancy hardware to wire them in series.
It's like you have a bullet connector from VSC, and a bullet from each fan. All these bullets plug in together. You have 2 pieces like that, one for POS and one for NEG.
Lemmie know if you want more indepth explanation. Hope that helped though.

They use 10 or 12 gauge wire from the VSC to the fans. I'm not real sure which, it's either a heavy 12 or a wimpy 10 .. so no need for a relay. The VSC is ready for the load.

There are the instructions that came with it. They aer real shitty if you ask me, but maybe you can make beans of it.

both the pos and negs on my ls1 fans are wired togehter, then into one single wire going to the vsc. meaning two pos into one pos then two negs into one neg going to the vsc. the yellow crimp connector was used to hold both (thick) wires together from the fans. it worked great. i will say this, you need to wire you a manual switch up if you want the fans to come on sooner. VSC hardly makes the fans come on while you are driving. hope this helps

tucker...the LS1 fans are usually picked up used on ebay or from a wrecking yard. Prices are usually around $100 or so. The Flex-A-Lite's are super nice but cost a ton. My LS1 fans have kept my truck temps in order in the Texas summer!
Flyer...you are right those instructions suck. V8 (Keaven) sent me a copy of that via e-mail and it didn't help. Flex-A-Lite needs to include more pics of the wiring.
Is what I listed a Series of Parallel load? I am pretty sure that is a Series.

What you listed is a series load. You don't want to wire them like that.
Just wire them like Flyer, Goshawk23, and I have explained. Wire both fan negatives into one and plug that wire into the #2 spot on the VSC. Wire both fan positives into one and plug that wire into the #3 spot on the VSC.
I'd get you a picture but, all the different color wires they use for ground and power would get confusing REAL quick.
PS - The VSC should come with a 40amp fuse to put inline on the battery feed.

Look for wiring schematic.bmp. It's rather crude, but it should get the idea across ... I hope anyways ......
