Default Who is running 2 mufflers in series?

Has anyone setup up their catback with 2 magnaflows in series? Looking to do a 3.5" catback w/3.5" cutout. I will not stand for ANY drone whatsoever. If I can't find anything as quiet as stock I'll stick with stock, eventhough it's killing me at the track. Magnaflow does have a 30" turbo XL muffler which I believe Atomic runs, but it's a chambered design. I want straight through for performance.

I was looking at Magnaflow PN 12909, 22" 5"x11" oval. I've had this same muffler with headers and no cats in the past and I was not a fan at all. Really droned unacceptably on the highway. Maybe 2 in series would be what I'm needing. That's 44" of muffler. Open the cutout when I want to get roudy.

To eliminate drone the best option is a frequency canceling muffler like a corsa. The packed magnaflows take the edge off the sound but you can still end up with some drone. Walker or donaldson make some huge straight through single mufflers that might work well for you also.

I do! I believe mine are 5"X18" 3"Round Magnaflow, 5"X18" 3" Oval Magnaflow. I don't have any drone, but i will say it is louder than i thought it would be.... I really would like it quieter, but then again i don't feel like messing with it...

DYNO MAX has the new VT series with the clapper valve i think its gaurenteed NO DRONE they even ran against the magnaflow ,,,stays closed for normal driving then opens at WOT ...looks great and only 99 bux at Jeggs plus 25 rebate ... Iam gonna try one the drone at low rpm is load on mine but i sure like the sound other wise....I thought about cutting an oe muffler and wrapping my existing one or just wrapping it with some insulation and such ...but the new dynomax looks interesting with great reviews ...i wished i know somone who has tried these i gues iam gonna be the first ginue pig,,,the only thing i think its only 14" long or maybee 16" i have to look again...

if you are already planning on a cutout keep the stock muffler. I run a stock muffler/tailpipe and a 3" cutout right off the ory. most of the time. It is nice to go from loud to almost completely silent with the flick of a switch.

I have a m/flow 14909 large body 3.5 " muffler and a 3.5 m/flow resonator in front of it on my 2010,
sounds very good but just a little bit loud, doesn't really drone, just loud.
that's with lt's and high flow cats

What do you guys think about a stock Denali/Escalade muffler? Those use a 3.5" catback. I bet I could get one of those cheap.
