Default Who here has done the LS1/LS6 intake manifold swap?

What is involved in this swap? Was there any significant gains/losses?

Thanks.

A lot more is involved than I'd be willing to do for not so great gains. Rather put my efforts so something else like cam work or exhaust.

I'm not so sure why people have such a hard time with this swap.....it took me about hour and a half to complete from start to finish

1. you CAN use the truck rails and injectors......all that is requires is spacers/bushings and longer bolts, the truck crossover looks stupid but works.....custom bent one like I did if you are worried about it

2. the truck water-pump works JUST FINE, cutting the water neck off about 3/4" above the pump and adding a 45* adapter and a short piece of hose was all I needed to make it work

3. EVERYTHING ELSE is a DIRECT SWAP

I'll see what I can do.....I'm working alot of hours right now but give me a few days and I'll see if I can't do a write-up on it

as for pics....all I have is the end result, I didn't take any while I was doing the swap because it was so simple....ryan23silverado did this same swap except for the truck injectors and rails, his website has some good pics of the install

Thanks for info guys!

Yelo: which one did you go with, LS1 or LS6? How did it affect your rpm range?

The change in RPM range I couldn't tell you(I shift at 6800), but it did pick up 5 mph.
