Default Who has had the biggest improvement over stock?

I was checking my old timeslips today, and my truck ran a 17.10 at 82mph bone stock. I run a 13.57 at 97.7 now. Thats 3.53 seconds and 15.7 mph faster. (times at 4400 feet elevation)

Anybody else have stock vs. modded times?

My first outing to the track was a 15.3@89 with a few mods already. My best to date is a 12.48@105 so that is 2.82 sec and 16 mph better.

I don't have any of my really old timeslips, but I know that I was running low 16's at 85 or so.

I've taken over 2 seconds off my 1/4, and picked up 16 or so mph. Not bad for N/A. Once I get the tranny/converter/gear and some tires, I hope to make that more like 3 seconds off my time, and hopefully 20 or more mph. I think it's possible...

My first outing to the track yielded a 15.7. The best so far is 13.6. Not quite the improvement you have seen. I made a few more mods now so I will test them on Sunday at HRP.

Well, it's still N/A, but I did pick up 50 or so cubes along the way.

But, I only picked up about 4 mph from the motor swap, so I still picked up 12mph on the 4.8, with just a cam and some bolt ons!

EDIT: just looked at my old 1/8 mile timeslips from July 2001 (I have them on a spreadsheet...what a looser )

My best time that night was a 10.32 @ 68. Most of my runs were in the 10.4x range, though, around 67mph. My best with the LS1 is 9.09 @ 80. So I've picked up more than 1 second and about 12mph in the 1/8th.

My goal is to run 82mph in the 1/8 (my stock 1/4 mph) on blower only. Then hit it with a 100 shot. Right now I'm 79.5mph in the 1/8. I think the Griffen FMIC I have ordered should get me close.

It's crazy how slow stock is compared to modded with these trucks. they respond so well to mods. Stock at almost 5000 feet is !
