I'm very partial to Precision Industries converters. I have had the Yank Truck Thruster 3200 and have replaced it with a PI Vigilante 3500. I like the "feel" of the PI better and think it puts down better numbers. Unfortunately I didn't dyno the truck with the Yank but the current set-up with the PI did as follows:

400 RWHP / 500 RWTQ

Not too shabby in my book

I've got the Yank 3200 and I love it. It instantly flashes to about 3200 if I need it. You will need larger tires than 255 b/c I have to wait until it shifts to 2nd before I can hit it from a light. Of course, I am running 255/50-16 tires, so 255/70's may be better off. I have yet to make a run on the track with the Yank though.

well did either one of yall have any problems installing your converter? any extra modifications to do or did it just bolt right up? also did either of yall have a big change in gas consumption? towing problems?

i was considering the yank 3000. i have an ext cab and i might one day do some towing, but MTI told me not to get one in case i do one day tow something. so i don't know what to think.

do yall think the converter took off 1/2 a second? thanks

My Yank Truck Thruster 3000 converter dropped my ET 7 tenths...mainly because I have a very lazy 3.42 gear. I can tow up to 8000 lbs with this converter. If I didn't need to tow, I would have put in a ST3500 like in my SS.

Some of the bolts on the tranny are a pain to get to. The converter bolts right up. Lost about 1mpg in the city. I don't tow. And I would bet at least 1/2 second, but I can't get to the track for awhile.
