Default Who has a Billet Servo, question about 2-3 shift

I read that the billet servo helps-out the 2-3 shift, is it a real noticable difference or what? Thanks in advance.

Yep...it improves the 1-2 and the 2-3 shifts as well. I installed a Trans-Go kit and loved the crispness of the shifts, even with the stock servo (2000 Silvy w/5.3 and a Whipple). Then I was towing my 5500 lb boat and under mnedium to hard accelleration, I was getting a bit of slippage on the 2-3 shift. Although I probably should have had new bands installed, I decided to install the Billet Servo to see if it helped any. And help it did! No more slippage and, man, can I bark them Toyos whenever I please! Don't think about it any longer, just buy it! The install took all of 30 minutes and 20 of that was jacking the truck up so I could crawl underneath. Doesn't require much skill...hell, I'm an Accountant and I can do it!

It shifts way, way better with the servo. The 2-3 upshift and 3-2 downshift are way better with that part.

I'd just go ahead and install the TransGo shift kit and billet servo at the same time to save some cash.

Where do ya live at? You can ride in the truck to see how it is.

Well I live close to the D/FW area, if you are ever up here you can come for a ride and see what you think. I promise you it is worth the cash.

Thanks for your help man! I just ordered the Billet Servo, the total cost was $85.95. I figure if I want harder shifts after that I'll get the shift kit, I think I'll be fine though.

the billet servo is badass. i get a hard 2nd gear scratch everytime. also when you manually down shift it is a lot faster. really good mod.

When ya'll scratch going to 2nd, is that regular driving, half-throttle, or wot?
