Default Who all makes cams for the LS motor?

I know there is Comp, Lunati, ThunderRacing, Vinci, and probably plenty others out there that do. I have gotten used to this comp 216/220 and looking to upgrade a little. I will be also upgrading to a larger converter, probably a 3000. I have been seeing a lot of custom grinds showing up lately, but not real sure how you spec those out. Anyways, guys help me out here, want to see what all is out there and then make a decision.

To give you an idea, I just had a somewhat custom grind speced out to a setup very similar to yours. Using x-e high lift lobes it came out: 218/220 112 + 2. This was done by Brian (unafilliated racing). You can reach him at
1-800-365-9145 ext. 558

A while back, I had a custom speced out to my exact combo by Ed Curtis and it showed: 214/216 110 + 0. Wont be possible to mimic this grind though because those lobes are priority.

There is always the GM "hot cam" package includes new springs I believe, at least I thought that was what Mr. Goodwrench told me. Don't know about the custom grinds have to go elsewhere for that I suppose...

Well, I consider myself pretty much up to date with all the major distributors like the ones above and their off the shelf grinds. Just wanting to see what else is out there to offer. I know shops like MTI, HPE, Futral, and others offer cams also, not necessarily looking for grinds that large, but I want to be able to check them out thats for sure. Just to give ya an idea, I was looking at a comp custom grind 218/224 high lift 113 LSA, or a Lunati 221/221 lift? 113LSA or of course good ole TR220 or TR224 on 114LSA. I want something with higher lift for sure, the 216/220 I have right now is .525/.532

Ok, there are lots of shops that offer different specs and lobe patterns but the four major cam 'grinders' are Comp, Crane, Luniti and CamMotion. IMO the Futral spec'ed CamMotion cams are some of the best out there for under the curve power. The Thunder Racing and Texas Speed spec'ed Comp grinds and Vinci spec'ed Crane grinds are good as well.
