Default Whipple vs. Kenne Bell twin screw SCs

Does anyone know which blower is larger? I think Parish8 said the Whipple is 138ci. How about the Kenne Bell?

Does anyone on this board have the Kenne Bell kit on their truck (or F/Y body for that matter)?

Here is a link to Kenne Bell's site www.kennebell.net

woa!!! i don't know the answer to yur question but i found this on their site, i can make an extra 29hp just by droping my compresion <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> .sweet!!!!

"COMPRESSION RATIO - Lowering the compression ratio allows the engine to run more boost with the same octane. For example, 8.0:1 vs 9.5:1 can tolerate another 3 psi. 3 psi gives 38HP. The 1.5 lower CR loses 3% (2% per point) or around 9HP in a 300HP engine. That nets 29HP (38-9=29). Now you know why OEM's use low compression ratios on supercharged engines."

If I was going to get a screw type charger, I would go with the kenne bell setup. It seems better engineered to me. They went with the injector change and a hand held to reflash the program. The external injectors and splice in controller is what turned me away from the whipple and to the magnacharger. just my .02.

I heard somewhere that kenne bell was better somewhere. Plus, if you wanted to run more boost safely, you could get the water injection kit they offer. Isn't whipple supposed to be making an intercooled version of their supercharger or is that just a rumor? Oh yeah,I sent you a e-mail.

there package does look prety good, i have a few questions though, what size is that blower and do they make a variety of blower pulleys and how hard are they to change, looks like it might be presed on.

I have heard there customer service sucks, but I have also heard the same thing about Whipple too.

I think the Whipple intercooler was a mistake on there webpage...but maybe they will come out with one. I plan on going with water injection pretty soon, so I am not going to wait for them to make something.

I guess I will call to see how many cubes this blower is. But I was thinking it was a better design to install 8 new injectors instead of running a "wet manifold" like Whipples do for fuel addition.

So no one has tried this SC yet? I just need a couple grand and I will be the guinea pig for this <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />
