Default Whipple tune ???

I have a whipple I will be installing on my 4.8.I am going to ditch the whipple electronic junk and get a nelson tune.My question is about the bypass valve. How can I make it work so I am not boosting at low rpm and idle.Any info would be appreciated thanks

You won't boost at idle. You will normally see boost climb from 2000rpm and higher. Though, depending on load the engine sees, you could see low boost at 1700rpm some times (going up a small hill in overdrive without downshifting). Cruising, you will never get into boost because it is all being bypassed.
