Whipple supercharger question
#1
whipple says that there gains are right at 50 percent but they don't run intercoolers correct? so is it possible to buy an intercooler that will fit on that setup and run more boost safely and get more power than 50 percent?

A non-intercooled twin-screw (Whipple) supercharger is capable of more power (and is much more efficient) than an intercooled, modified roots (Radix). If you could find a way to intercool a Whipple, you would wipe the floor with a Radix. I recall seeing some people who have done it, you just need to find them and ask them what they did and how they did it. I've also heard rumors of Whipple coming out with an intercooled version, but I guess they've been saying that for quite a while now.

There's big competition coming from the turbo kit companies. Boats are really Whipple's bread and butter but I hope one of them reads this! They have the power to build whatever any of us could dream up...

Yes, it's almost tragic that the superior technology won't take its rightful market share because of poor attention to market and poor attention to detail. I would sell my Radix in a heartbeat for an intercooled Whipple, and gladly pay $6K for it.
