Did you get a new bolt or reuse the original one? If it backs out again after the loctite, I would get a new bolt. They are pretty cheap from the dealer.

btw.. how is it running with the whipple?

I got a new bolt and pulley from Blacksheep, i think everything is gonna be fine now i let it set all day and i rode it pretty hard this afternoon and it hasnt backed out. It runs awesome i wasnt expecting it to perform like it is, it feels quicker than it did on nitrous and actually will hook with a little feathering. Probably wont make it to Hattiesburg tomorrow for the big Fat Tuesday race but will be at Lena saturday night and let you guys know how it performs.

Your bolt came with a washer?? The new bolts have a coating under the head where they contact the pulley which keeps it stuck on there good. Also there is no washer.

The new bolt from Whipple was allen head with a 1/2" thick washer but i took it off and it seems to have solved the problem.

Default Whipple question

Just got the Whipple installed, ive slung the belt off 3 times the last time i noticed the crankshaft pulley was loose and the bolt had backed out, i took out the thick washer that came with the bolt, used loctite and snugged it with a ratchet then used a impact to tighten. Has anyone else had this problem or know what else i could try if it backs back out again?
