Whipple Performance
#1
I have a 1999 GMC Yukon with the 5.7L Vortec V8. I wish to make this Yukon haul as a sleeper. I have a K&N FIPK Gen II Intake and a Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust. I am going to get JBA headers and a 160 thermostat.
My question is about supercharging it. I am choosing between an ATI Procharger and Whipple supercharger. I am leaning towards Whipple due to reliability down the long road. But are the power gains that Whipple claims substantiated?
My goal is to run high fourteen second quarter miles, will the whipple do this for my vehicle? With the current set-up, I run a 16.91 quarter mile.
Thanks for your replies.

You should also consider Magnacharger ---------> Site Sponsor and a really nice kit for the 5.7.
