Default Whipple leaking oil?

There is a slight amount of oil around the part were the boost part of the whole thing (the part that connects to the piece that connects to the intake) and the compressor, and also there is some oil residue on the back of the mounting plate.... I checked the oil level it seems to be fine but were is this oil comming from?

Could it be sucking in through the PCV?

It's got to be oil from the PCV. If that oil was coming frmo the gearbox of the compressor you would see a rapid drop in those levels and it would eventually eat itself starved of lube. You may want to look into installing a catch can. They seem popular with quite a few Gen-III owners.

Yep, I run a catch can in my 04 5.3 and I drained 20 ml of oil from 2000 miles of driving.

Ok guys, i installed a catch can, hasn't caught a thing, i even cut a piece of the pcv line to see if there was any oil really goin through the thing before and it's dry as a bone. I checked the oil level today, normal. Where is this mystery oil comming from?!?! There is a thin film of it all around the bottom were the oil resivior on the supercharger is..... and a small little puddle were the outlet is for the bypass....
