The program they provide does pull some of the TM out. The program they have is very nice, and it does adjust the transmission shift points, even at part throttle. It makes it so it doesn't downshift as much.
I bolted the intake directly up to my Volant airbox. It does have some play in the tube.
Check out this picture, notice the bellow type thing at the MAF, which has some flex in it.
