Default Whats torque converter for a tr220 ?

Getting my tranny overhauled and while I'm at it I wanna but a bigger stall converter, so when I'm ready to install a cam I won't have to worry about it. I'm looking at the TR220 112lsa cam, would a torque converter from a I6 04 trailblazer work good with this particular cam ? I really want 75% choppy sound and 25% performance. I don't want a fast truck lol. Just an aggressive daily.
Thanks in advance

I would do a circle d 3200 278mm model it's $400 should be great for the stock cam and that 220

But I mean the trailblazer torque converter is around 2600 behind a 4.8 ? For $150 bucks is not bad at all lol. My tranny will high temps with a TC over 3k

Now I'm looking at a TSP220 112lsa cam. I'm guessing thunder racing went out of business ? :o

Ok cool. I wanna get cam first and then LT headers. Is that good ? Should I get LT headers first ?

3200 here great performance- dd I'd do 2800-3k IMO - trailblazer stall I have mixed feelings on- it will work but if you want to run a lot of power in future it could bend fin inside and could create unwanted heat issues- but that's also hit or miss - new trans- do good converter

A name brand (Yank, Vig, Circle D) 2800-3000 should be sufficient. I would recommend doing the headers first. Stock manifolds will hold you back and you won't see full potential from the cam swap.

Defiantly get some long tube headers!
I ran the 220 with a 3000 stall it sucked.
Lazy till 3500 then took off.
3600 stall would be perfect
