Default What's the biggest cam in a DD 6.0 on here ??

I'm just thinking about a few changes and I'm looking to see what the biggest cam in a DAILY DRIVEN 6.0 is on here.....I'm interested in DD 5.3/5.7s with BIG cams too but please skip the 402/408/418/421/427 motors, that much extra displacement makes ALOT of difference in cam choice.

Thanks;
Al

v8 runs a 226 in his 5.3, there was a guy running around Houston in a SSS with a 232 grind on a 112lsa sounded good and outran me on motor when I had the ole 5.3 in there. BTW my 237/242 is perfectly streetable

I'm actually leaning towards a 230/238 or a 232/242 I found from a custom grinder locally...both are .600 lift and 114lsa

mines a 228/230 on a 114

driveability is enough to get by but disappointing...
Its nothing like the 210/218 112 I had in the 5.3
as far as the driveability

Why so big?
especially thru the 80 and in a 2500ec 4wd???

Why are you dissapointed in it Kano? Seems like it would be fine in a rcsb 2wd with a nice stall.

I'm looking to go as big as possible and still keep it daily drivable because I'm looking towards the future, I'd like build up another all-forged-and stroked 402cid 6.0 motor for mine (forced induction...twin turbos) and then find a RCSB and swap my existing motor into that for a plug-and-play 12 second truck. I know driveablity will suffer a little bit with a BIG cam and a 3200 stall but as long as it's driveable by the grilfriend without too many complaints it'll be ok

driveability
Locked in OD at about 75 sucks when trying to give it a little gas to get around a big truck etc etc
I usually end up pushing the gas to the point it downshifts and takes off violently
its on or its off

at the track Im really not impressed
it seems to like 5000 up
I spend alot of time trying to get there and once I do Im not there long

I know I would do better with a looser stall and taller gear as far as times
but Im not willing to do that
so Ive decided to get a custom cam thats designed for my setup
and sell the f11 to one of the car guys

hopefully the new stick will be better to drive and improve my times
