sounds like you need to talk to someone else that's willing to do what you want. a custom tune in a stock truck is still alot of help.

 

Jesse at http://www.wait4meperformance.com/ tunes gm stuff at $75 with free updates, so if you get ram air, and true duals down the road send your pcm back and he will hook you up.

 

If u plan to stay relatively stock except for air intake and minor exhaust, go for the mail order stuff (westers, nelson, hypertech, predator...etc).,,but if u plan to do some serious HP gain type stuff (cams, blower...etc) then they will either come with a tune or ull need to get custom tuned. That means any money u sepnd on the tune now will be wasted on those last mods. A Nelson or Westers costs only slightly less than a custom tune. R/

 

I dont know who you talked to at Thunder, but thats a load of crap. A custom tune will be much more agressive than a Hypercrap IMO. I got mine tuned for my cam and exhaust when the only mod was the TB and fans, and it made a huge difference. I actually slowed down 1/10 from stock tune to the Hypertech.
I'd definatly get Futral, Nelson, or Wait4me tune.

Sounds to me that you werent worthy of the almighty Thunders work! LOL! It isnt you mansounds like that guy forgot about the small people! Dont waste your money on Hypertech trust me. There is no reason you should have to learn the same mistake alot of us made. Nelseon,PCM4ESS,Futral,W4Me should be a good starting point!
