Default What trans do i have in 2000 silv
I have a 2000 SC silverado 2wd 4.8 auto and i was wondering if i have a 4l60/65 80/85 trans. Also what is the difference between the 60 and 65s if any.

The 65 has a 5 planateries compared to the 60's 4. The 65 is just a little more stout than the 60. Same thing with the 80/85.

Can a 60 be made into a 65 and same for the 80/85
