Default What tailpipes for lowered Tahoe

Have an 04 Tahoe with a Flowmaster American Thunder kit. Duals from one muffler. Problem is, once I lowered the rear 3 inches, I am riding on the tailpipes... Meaning the axle is hitting them. Not enough clearance.. is my only hope custom tailpipes?

Didn't know that. Mines been that way for 4-5 years and no one has ever said anything.

I had a 03 yukon lowered and i put a super 40 with turndowns, and never had any issues at all with getting it inspected.

maybe im wrong, i thought the exhaust had to exit the passenger part of the vehicle, dumped under the bed of a truck is fine but the whole SUV is the passenger compartment

Yes, it has to exit the rear of an SUV here. It's tight because it has 3" flowmaster setup on it... They couldn't bend it high around axle like stock setup. Found a local shop that will mandrel bend some 2.5 in for me.
