What are stock shift points on 2003 Yukon 5.3?

Need to know this before messing any more with my HPP3, we have stock tires and 3.73 gears, I'm trying to figure out the +1/+2/+3/+4/+5 stuff for the tranny, etc.

If it did not change for 03, my 02 was shifting at abou 5.5-.6K 1-2 and about 5.2-.3 for 2-3.

Cool, so a 6200rpm rev limiter with +4 1-2 and +12 2-3 should be good? Mine is a 2003 5.3 with 3.73's.

Cool, it feels good with those settings and netted a 15.4 @ 96.6 on a GTech. Hope to get it to the track soon.

i try to set them at +5 for the 1-2 and +10 for the 2-3. much more and it'll hit the limiter at 6200.

What year is your truck? The 99's have different shift points, so the +xx mph is model year specific. For instance, mine shifts the 1-2 at like 5500-5600 stock, the 99's shift every gear around 5200. So for a 99, a higher +xx number might work, but the +4 is about the highest you can go on an 03 right?

128rpm per mph for 1-2 shift, so thats:

+1=128rpm
+2=256rpm
+3=384rpm
+4=512rpm
+5=640rpm

If I shift at 5500 stock then +4 is 6012, if I shift at 5600 stock then +4 is 6112, so a plus 5 would be to close or higher than the 6200 rev limiter.

Does that sound correct? My +4/+12/+0 settings did not hit the rev limiter, anyone find any real use or advantage to upping the 3-4 shift any?

my truck doesn't use one, my current truck uses a mechanical governer for it's shift points which i set myself also. i've set the settings for about 10 or so hpp3's on 99 and newer silverado's for friends. the one i gave the numbers for is what i try to use on the 03' 5.3's. going +12 on the 2-3 seemed to hit the limiter at random before shifting and on the 1-2, +7 always hit it first and +6 would at random hit the rev limiter which is how with a bit of testing i went with 5 and 10 with the 3-4 moved +4.
