Default What size Cam?

I was just curious to see what some of you more experienced guys on here would recommend for a cam and stall. I would like it to be stable enough to be a DD but also get as much power out of it as I can.

2000 single cab short bed silverado
V8-5.3 - 140,000 miles on it
Gears are 4:10
Tire Size- stock 16's right now but will put some 20 " SS or Texas Edition rims
Current mods are- Flowmaster super 44 exhaust and a K&N CAI.
Future Mods to go along with the cam would be some long tube headers and a tune.

Any Help is appreciated! Thanks!

I like the comp 212/218 low lift and circle d 2800 stall converter I have in my truck. Pulls like a freight train from 2 grand. And that's in a heavier (4800 lb conservative dry weight) ECSB 4x4

TSP220 or 224
CircleD 3000-3200 278mm converter

They would fit well with your 4.10 gears.

I wouldn't recommend the TR224 and CircleD 3000-3200 278mm converter combo.. I had the same combo(in a heavier truck, crew cab) and it definitely needed WAY more stall!

How's the gas mileage with it? I know it will have to be sacrificed but just curious to see what it gets.
