Default What other mods....?

I have a vara ram air, throttle body spacer, throttle body insert, Hypertech programmer, Arizona headers, And Exhaust. I dont know alot about what you can do to a truck motor, so i would appreciate any help. I just need to know what else can be done to my motor besides S/C, Turbo and Nitrous. BTW I have a 2003 Silverado W/5.3.

Thats a good start, but you've just touched the surface of possible options. The headers, vararam and exhaust are probably good additions. The spacer and TB insert probably dont help much. Hypertech is good, but you'll find that a custom tune will really open your truck up.

Whats your budget? I'd suggest a mild cam, custom tune and a torque converter.

if you are exteremly budget minded you can pick up a 2000 vette cam for pretty cheap. Another budget minded option is the TrailBlazer converter. their going for under 200 bucks right now for around a 2500~2600 stall.

Then a good tune. Depends on where you get it from. Some go for as little as 200 bucks to 400 and 500 bucks. All are recommendable. just different options from the initial purchase.

Then you could always do efans and underdrive pulley, exhaust cutouts, higher numerical gears, aftermarket pois unit. there is a lot you can do.

first off i would definatly do a custom grind cam from thunder racing or comp along with some healthy springs. then do a yank/tci/pi torque converter. Dyno tune it if a tuner is near you. if your running 13.8 as you sit now, your gonna need some sneakers after these mods. so get some et streets. then you can do all the other stuff i mentioned.

btw, you probably have one of the few bolt on trucks without a aftermarket cam running those times.

damn 13.8 with those mods is outstanding, a higher stall will knock off some more time and get you in the mid 13's, put a shift kit in with the stall and delete all tq managment. If your going NA you might look into getting some cnc'd heads with valve job springs etc... then a cam. With your truck running those times you could probabl get into the 12's with ideal conditions and a built 5.3 thats ****** fast I cant believe Im even thinking 12s on an na 5.3 of course you'd need some slicks like goshawk was saying.

where did you run that 13.8 what else have you done to the truck, did you weigh it on race day

13.8 was my buddys best time. He would get that number 1 out of 3 times I tried it. I think was really helping the truck out is the Vara Ram King Cobra. It helps out alot. If you go to VaraRam.com go to King Cobra on top and click on it and you'll see a picture of my truck since those guys installed it for free. That and my 3.73 gears are also a plus.
