I'd replace the timing chain while I had thing apart,a slack timing chain can cost you a lot of power.

Considering your truck is an 00, you should get a new timing chain. Don't forget about all the gaskets and crank bolt along with some hardnened pushrods.

Well hell, if you're going to do the chain, may as well get a LS6 ported oil pump also. They are a PITA, but you'll already be most of the way there to do the chain - an extra 5 min to slide in the new pump at that point. Just be sure to get a new o-ring seal with it from a dealership.

cam lube helps also

if you are changing the springs then you need a air compressor to hold the valves up of coarse..

well my truck just barely hit 40k and i don't use it much but i want it to be drivable and i want to keep that sleeper look and sound (because i've been there and done that with the looks and sound thats only gets the cops attention) i guess i will get the cam, springs, maybe the timing chain, and all the gaskets seals and fluids thanks guys for your help in the mean time i am going back to getting my transmission built cause theres no use for all that power if you only have 2 gears
