Default what kind of warning light to install??

I am installing my autometer full sweep gauges this week and I wanted to put a warning light for my fuel pressure, and water temperature. Autometer sells a pressure switch and a temp switch. They basically show continuity between both leads when the preset temp/pressure is reached. So all I have to do is wire it to a light or buzzer.

First of all where do I screw the temp. switch in to?

Second, for my fuel pressure switch, I suppose I put a T on my schrader valve which is where I am tapping for my fuel pressure gauge.

Last, what kind of warning lights do ya'll have? Ideas? Led's in the 4wheel drive pocket by the vent? Leds next to the gauges? I definately want warning lights for my temp because my fans let out on me one time and I was idling in a parking lot at a carwash and never looked at my gauge, until it showed well over 280º!!!

For the temp light, you could use the tap for the stock coolant temp switch, but on the opposite head. It would be a big allen headed plug like thing.

Sounds like you're right on for the fuel pressure.

I know this is off topic but do you ever run your truck at the track? I live about 30 mins from you and would like to invite you to run in evadle sometime. I have also wanted to see a truck with TOG headers on it.

I used to go in Monroe all the time because they had one there, but now that I moved back home in Lake Charles, I have to go to Eunice. That is a little far to go all the time. So until then, I am just going to have my fun on the street! I work at Baileys Audio on Ryan St. if you want to stop by and check me out.

Do you still have those squares in the bed? That was a pretty slick setup, but didn't you get a lot of port noise out of it? Sorry, off topic but was just curious.

I got rid of my square solobarics to race, got rid of 135lbs. box,and 80lbs of boards and ampracks. Got a little lighter!! Just kinda gets old. All that boom boom. Ecspecially when you do it for a living!

Ahh ..

I'm fixing to put a pair of L7 10's in mine with 2 KX600.1 amps strapped together. I'm thinking it's gonna pound pretty hard and shouldn't add much more weight if any than the 12 Comp VR's do.

The box will be .88 cubed per side.

What you thnk about that setup? I might could use some lighter MDF which would make the inside volume a hair more ... hmmmmmm

No I would not suggest the lighter MDF. Definately do 3/4 MDF. .88 sounds good. Should jam. I would suggest getting a red top battery if you don't already have one.

I figured the 1/2" would flex too, may even turn to splintery dust with that much going on.

I could use a new battery anyways ... I have a feeling this one will leave me strandad this winter. I ran it down bad once, and it just hasn't been to well since.
