Default What gains from an intake?

If you were stock with hypertech, what would you say an intake will do for you? will it be a noticable gain? I am getting a MAC CAI. Exhaust shoul be coming soon.

Hey friend, first of all....you'll really notice the diffrence of a CAI if you get a custom tune from like NELSON PERFORMANCE (he did mine) or Wait4Me Performance.

The ol' Hypertech dosen't do really what you're looking for.

But a CAI will increase you're throttle response and you'll feel a gain in the mid and upper RPM's.

It's well worth it. I use the General Motors Performance Parts CAI...and I love it!

for the money it's not worth it. They run up to $250, and you can get a wait4me tune and some efans for just a little more than that.

I didnt see much of a difference when I was stock and running a k and n intake. If I had to do it again I would get custom tune first, e-fans second.
Later on I would modify my stock intake, but I wouldn't buy a new CAI. Waste of money for the performance return in my opinion. They do look purdy though.
