Default What fuel pump for 500ish horsepower?

What are the fuel pump options for a 2000 Silverado making around 500 horsepower (crank). My friend has an ATI, and his fuel pressure starts to drop off right around 5000rpm. Is the Walbro intank stuff a direct replacement? What about an inline? Thanks.

and inline would be better IMO. the walbro is a drop in, but you need to replace the connectors.

i single inline walbro gss340m is easy, cheap, reliable and will more than do the job.

i pushed mine to what had to be close to 600rwhp with no presure drop and it only cost about $120, more like $150 or so with a relay and some good termainations.

i will look for a pic, it was an ext cab truck and there was a nice strait section of line right under the extcab part of the truck. i dont have anything like that on my new truck, not sure where to put it on a RCSB

edit...i just looked for that pic, cant find it. anyways, if you have an ext cab just look at the strait section of line right in front of the fuel pump, real easy to put it there, with a RCSB i am not sure where you would put it.

If you are going to be running more than about 50 psi of fuel pressure under boost, then you should look to the Walbro GSS342m. This is their high-pressure version. Also, you could add a pump inline by the filter. I like the NOS pump for their stage II upgrade on their dry systems. I think they are like $180 or so and they come with brackets, a nice foam sock for quiet them down, fuel lines, etc.

do you have any more info on this pump? for quite awhile the 2 pumps to choose from have been a 307 for lower psi and the 340 for high presure setups(ls1's). as far as i know everyone is still recomending the 340
