i have an 07 classic 1500 5.3 flex. what engine is it? ls1 ls2?????

it is a variation of the LM7 or L33, it has its own RPO, i just dont know what it is

They are based off of the same block if I am not mistaken, but the 5.3 in your vehicle is not classified as an LS1 or LS2

so when buying parts.. will ls1/ls2/ls6 parts fit???? i was looking at the lsx intake from f.a.s.t.,how much pita is it to install??? is it pure plug n play?? it looks different than the intake thats on my truck now so i was thinkin it wasnt

yes ls1, ls2, ls6, 5.3, 4.8, 6.0, those parts fit your truck


the FAST LSX intake is NOT plugnplay on trucks, it requires car-style fuel rails/injectors, a different water pump, that goes for any car-style intake on the trucks

not a direct swap for the intake manifold, no

however the intake manifold is one of the last things you will need to swap

so whats the difference between the ls's and truck motors if parts are interchangable?i know the car motors make more power via diff cam/head work.

I believe the engine code is L59, it's a Generation III 5.3 small block similar to the LM7 (except for the fueling system).
