Lightbulb What does it take...

to get my ride into the 12's? I just bought a '99 5.3 Z71. I bought it to tow my 'Mali around (not a trailer queen BTW need a tow to the track) its also my DD and when Im not towing I want to give 'stangs and F-Bodies a run for their money. I was thinking a cam, heads and torque convertor, or just a supercharger and torque convertor? I tried checking out the fastest truck list to see what it would take to get me there but no one indicated if they were a 4x4 so I have to assume they are 2wd, since my trucks a little heavier what would it take for me to acheive my goal? Thanks guys look forward to posting here alot

Take a radix at 9 or 10 psi, or a 100-150shot. And add:

A 3000-3200 stall, longtubes with full exhaust, and a 4wd launch.

I'll bet that could get you close.
