Default Truck Idles to high

Just installed cam and heads and am having some tuning issues. My truck idles around 1000 to 1500 rpm until I hit 0 mph then falls to 1000 rpm. It use to drop down to 600 rpm. Does anyone know what could be the problem here?
In LS1edit my idle is set to 600 at for idle. Is there anything I can adjust through edit to fix this high idle? My tranny fliud is a bit over filled, could this cause a high idle speed? I may have over adjusted the throttlebody blade. Feels to me like the converter is not letting go and keeping engine idle up. But of course you can see I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.
Any advise you guys could give me either through edit or adjustments to engine would be greatly appreciated.
thanks, Luke

It's probably gonna have to idle higher to stay running with the new cam, most idle in the 850-1150 range after a heads/cam swap (usually due to tuning necessary to keep it running)

you may also have bent the throttle stop on the TB during the install....or the IAC motor may be stuck open

How do I clean or unstick the IAC motor? which side of the truck is this sensor on? passenger or driver side?

I would look for some sort of vacuum leak also.

There should be some wires and plugs running to the throttle body. One of my wires was disconnected once and it made mine idle between 1500 and 2000 rpms. Also clean everything off inside the throttle body with throttle body cleaner if it has a lot of carbon buildup. It sounds like a mechanical problem with the throttle body and not a tuning issue.

It's the throttle body I'd wager. Some BBK's have a tollerance problem. Take it off and clean it out with carb cleaner first. Then check to make sure that when the butterfly closes the stop is actually contacting the setscrew. (If it's not then there are interference problems between the blade and the bore.) Check the IAC motor and make sure it is not being obstructed or stuck. As a last resort you can try turning that setscrew counter clockwise. Do this with the engine off because when you start up the TPS position becomes your baseline for idle TPS. Adjusting that setscrew should really be done with the aid of an OBD-II scanner of some sort so you can watch the IAC.

Good luck.
