been sweating the waterinjection vs nitrous and just can't decide wich to do or even if i want to do one of them.
i have about $500 to spend, it will be all i can spend for a few months and it would be nice to see some results, i don't really want to blow up the 6.0 right this minute either. i would like to see that flp tranny put under some stress before the warrenty runs out though. are there any mods for $500 that will get me a couple of 10th's?
this is the only thing i can think of. looking at a set of 275/60/16 pirelli tires and probably drop the truck 1" or so. these tires are 10mm wider than stock so that should help a little, probably a little more grippy than stock. shorter, from what i can see it would be the equilivant of going from 3.73 to 4.06 rear gears. seems like this would give me some ET improvement, what do you think? or is there some other cheap mod that i am forgeting about.

Have you considered setting the money aside for heads/cam? Also how big of a shot of nitrous would you safely be able to use? My dad experienced with water injection on his low 11 second Syclone but ended up taking it off after being disappointed with it. I personally would not go with water injection on my vehicle. i look at heads and cam set ups almost daily, just don't have the bank for it right now. i will eventualy and that is one of the reasons not to do water injection, once i get a heads and cam set up i don't think the whipple will be able to pump enuff air to need water injection. i could be way wrong on that theory but right now spinning the whipple right up to it's max rated rpm gives me 11psi, with some stage 2's and some kind of cam i could see that droping alot, maybe all the way down to 6-7psi.

hey parish i wouldn't get the pirelli's. the company discontinued them. not sure why but i almost got them. discount said that they haven't made that tire for at least a year. so what ever tire you get is going to be kinda and then you have to worry about getting a replacement down the road.
i just got the toyo proxy's 275/60/16 and they hook up pretty good. then again i don't have quite the performance gainers that you have. also they look pretty cool so you'll get the looks along with the performance. i used to have bfg's 275/65/16 and i could spin all through first but now i don't spin at all. anyways just wanted to let you know.
