I just got finished installing one on a 5.3 and one on a 4.8. First fill up indicated a little loss, I will let you know the results after a couple of weeks

Jeez - I average:

18 mpg combined city/highway
19 to 20 highway
15 mpg towing in flat country (towing Jeep in sig on a 16' flat bed)
13 mpg towing in hill country

All I have is a K & N, no intake mods. Without the K & N, I was getting about 1 MPG less across the board. I accelerate hard, but don't usually break the speed limit by much. Especially towing where I never break 70 mph.

Yeah, I know. I'm a "Sally safe driver" but I don't care. I have too many toys to pay high insurance or bad gas milage!

I've never seen an increase or decrease in mileage with any intake I've had. I've had a home made FIPK, a K&N FIPK, stock, stock air box with ram-air and my current of stock air box with ram-air and an aftermarket intake tube. My truck has always gotten about 15-15.2 with my normal driving, which is 75% city and 25% freeway. On nothing but freeway, I've gotten up to 21 mpg but usually it's about 19-20. I never gotten below 14 mpg but then again, I've never towed any thing either.

I get around 14 or so in town and 18+ on the highway. Both before and after the intake. I haven't had enough time on a good long highway trip to see if it made any major differences....so far nothing major either way.

11 mpg on highway . Crane cam, LS6 springs, ported heads, electric fans, 160 stat, ported tb, upd, headers, Dynomax 3 inch exhaust, NGK plugs, MSD wires, Hypertech, vette servo, transgo kit, and big ol 305/70/16 tires on 16x8 rims with 3.73 gears and a few other goodies. Course I drive ***** to the wall when I take her out of hibernation. This summer will be a tc and it will probably drop even more .
