Default what to do about a motor

well im in search of a motor for the truck, i was wondering do you all think it would be cheaper to get a cheap ls1 bare block for around $300 or $400 and just having it rebuilt with stock parts? or try to find a longblock. how much do you think it will cost to rebuild a ls1 block from bare to a shortblock? thanks fellas

start with what you're goals are . . .
then what you can afford. . .
. . . you can easily put 2K into the short block alone on a rebuild.

LQ4 LONGBLOCK....dont waste your money on a complete engine. Just swap over everything from your current 4.8 or 5.3. You'll save a lot of money.

i know that, im just talking about internals, crank, pistons, rods, etc. ima swap over all the accessories and put a different cam and a pair of 243s. i guess what im asking is the cost to get a shortblock built with stock internals
