Well, I would think that if the same motor that pulls 4000 lbs is now having to pull 5500 lbs.....the stress on the motor would be different and/or more, and it might not like 5500lbs@6700RPM's the same way it likes 4000RPM's@6700RPM's. Or not.

I don't know, I'm just repeating what a couple of performance guys have told me, not to rev my motor too high because of my truck's weight. I reserve the right to be wrong, or not know what I'm talking about sometimes - and this may be one of those times...

I'd be more leary of the tranny shifting at 6500+ RPM vs my stock rods taking a ****.

Powdered metal is basically like an I-beam forged rod. Hell, I bet you could put new rod bolts in with the motor in the truck.

In regards to the first question, you'll want more exhaust duration for the blower or with nitrous useage. Like that 212/218 would be fine to use.

NakedAV...I understand about you not wanting to lose anything from a cam or converter but any lost torque will be soooo minimal as all the parts we were talking about are tame as can be.

What would I want to go with if Im shifting around 6200?? Looks like I may need a new one since I doubt I'll find any of these floating around. What exact specs are you guys recommending?? Should I go with a 113LSA?? I'd like to keep a little low end since I dont have as high of a stall as I should.

I'm going to get a TR220 and shift it around 6200rpm. It's a bit soon considering the cam but not too soon. I talked to Jorday's homie about it for a while last night and man it sounds like a kickass street cam.

Hauls ***, idles well, etc. I DL'd a sound clip of it too, sounds very nice!

But ****, a lil 212/218 would be a good street cam for a blower holding low end power fine and pulling well to 6000rpm.

I would go with a 218/224 and shift around 6200.

HMX .. ur TR220 is going to pull way more than 6200. I'm shifting mine, which is a little smaller, at 6500 and it still hasn't peaked.

Oh yeah, I know it will pull higher if need be. But it apparently works great.
