What cam is right for me?

get rid of that TB spacer. its junk.
and what kind of driving are you going to be doing?
for stock idle/modest power gains/stock TQ converter, go with an '02 ls6 cam and yellow ls6 springs.
for a smooth idle, anything on a 114 LSA or up will be fine
If you want it to lope, do a 112 LSA
some good cams ive seen are 218/220, 220/220, 224/224, but you'd need about a 2600/3000/3200 stall contverter, which costs anywhere from $500 to $900. with an ls6 cam and springs, you can get for about $320. Any larger cam swap is going to cost you around $1500 between the cam, springs, rods, and converter. Not even counting install fees unless you do it yourself.

I hate threads like this because the posters just expect there to be one(and only one) cam that everybody agrees is the best. Not to mention most people never give enough information.
Like Scott said there are 10 million different variables that can contribute to picking the right cam
What kind of driving do you do?
Stock torque converter?
Aftermarket converter?
Future plans?
Forced induction?Thanksfully you answered this one
Mailorder tune, no tune, or live tune?
Daily Driver?
Gas mileage an issue?
Do you want it to lope?
Where do you want power?
etc,etc
