ive been in a CC truck with a tr220 and stock converter and was was worse on the take off.. also my buddys 4.8 with a 212 218 cam was worse on the take off..but with that cam in a 5.3 it was a little bit better than the stock cam

hell when i get my tranny im gettin the lowest stall sped i can get in a PI converter which is 2400

sorry to hijack ur thread but if i have 6 speed behind that 5.3 do i just use tr220cam with ls6 spring and 7.2pushrod?

Alright..well what cam is that???? ahahaha Im on the comp cams site and there are like 100 for the trucks with the 5.3...anyone know a part nubmer that I need???

if you are a comp cam dealer, I would buy it from them... do a custom grind cam... they cost the same..... if you dont race at the track then you dont need a converter...... but if you do race at the track you will have a very slow take off until the cam's power band kicks in.... need to decide what you want to build... by the way I bought my last custom grind comp cam from speed engineering>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

well I dont really want a custom grind..jsut what everyone else is using outta the box. Truck is an occasiaonl driver.and will see the track probably once or twice this summer...Will it be worse outta the hole then it is now? Im not looking for the worlds lumpiest cam..jsut something to give the truck some more kick.....

and for size...what size is everyone else running? what is a streetable size? The numbers given above are those a good cam? Im not gonna lie....Im clueless on teh cma for this truck....
