what is the best heads for a 5.3l

Default what is the best heads for a 5.3l

I have a 83 chevy short wide, i put a 5.3l out of a 05 tahoe it has 706 heads i am trying to find out if it would be better to get those heads ported, or if it would be better to get other heads, i am just tring to see what the best gain is and if i need new heads what type??

The best head for a 5.3 would probably be the TrickFlow 4.8/5.3 heads

some 215cc AFRs would be nice on a 5.3.. Your best budget head is gunna be prc heads but there's always something better just depends on what you wanna spend

We sell a "stage 1" 5.3 CNC Head for $999.50 Exchanged. Come assembled with 2.00/1.55 LS1 Valves and LS6 Springs.

what is usually the gain you get off those cnc stage 1 heads??

We do not know the individual gains. We did the heads and cam at the same time. Gained approximately 70rw doing those heads and our HT1 Cam through Pacesetter LTs an a Flowmaster.
