what air intake to get???

Default what air intake to get???

I am having the hardest time trying to figure what air intake I sould get, or make my own? What do u guys think of true flow or k&N? Any help would be nice.

I like my Volant ram air system.

I like my k&n fipk,but I kinda wish I would have made my own. It could have saved some $$.

I have an Out Law intake, SOTP gains were noticable, Drove back from LA (350 miles) and had a MPG increase of 1.6

To be honest they all will get ya bout the same hp, but I like my aem, onlly reason is i got a great deal off ebay or i would have probably made mine. plus i like it because it is an open element.

AEM for me too. It's held up great over the past 2+ years, and was tested to give a 13rwhp gain.

I had the K&N FIPK and now I have the Volant with ram air...they both seem to perform the same to me. I like how the Volant clears my 34" radiator that I installed with the 05 efans, and it matches the black and blue theme I have going under the hood. Alot of guys have made their own systems at home that seem pretty nice and I'm sure perform pretty much the same as the store bought items. (if you do a search for "home made CAI" or something along that line, you'll probably find a bunch of examples of some nice homebrewed systems)

I would get volant air ram, but I have an escalade front end and dont think they make one for them.

I have a guy at the refinery's machine shop making mine. These intakes aren't worth the money, imho unless you luck-out on ebay.
