Still in the research phase of my build-up. Of course I did the search but, is a ls6 or FAST the only option for moving volumes of air over 5200 rpm? I see a lot of people building good useable power, are you using the stock truck intake? Do you find your power falling off after the mid 5000? Looking for ideas for a 5.3. Thanks

 

dynoed mine the other day,
built power up untill about 6500 RPMS with the truck intake..

once it hit 6500 it slowly started to taper off

 

the victor jr. is another option but probably too much for 5.3L

LS1 or LS6 would be the best bet if you dont want the truck intake

 

What are the differences between the LS1 and LS6 manifolds besides the flat bottom. Does one flow more than the other?

 

the ls6 outflows the ls1

 

From what I've heard, Unless your revving over 6,000 RPM the Truck intake is good, I heard it outflows the LS1 intake so go from there.
