Same cam here too. And I love it, pulls forever. Still working out the idel issues I had but great cam.

Red,
I would like to hear a sound clip also if you have one or can do it. I would like to compare the sound between your 5.3 and my 4.8. Would they be different?

I would like to know also?
and will LS6 springs work with the 1.85 rocker arms on that application?
or will i just be better off getting 918's when I finally do this.
just planning ahead.......

My low end feels great, I think the TT3000 helped that out. You should be able to set your shift pretty high with that built tranny. I have mine at 6100 and it feels like it short shifts every time. I need to get my tranny built so I can set them up higher.

The idle is a little choppy but not too much. When I first did the cam I had idle issues so I had Allen turn up the RPM's at idle to compensate for it. And now that I have the better plugs and adjusted the TB some I think I can turn it down 100-150 RPMs or so.

I believe if you had the 1.80 rocker arms you could go with the LS6 springs, but I would get the 918's with the 1.85 rocker arms.

I would shift it a little higher. I have mine shifting at 6500 out of second. It still feels like it's short shifting some. My situation is a little different, but I think even NA, it would still wanna shift at least around 6300-6500.
