You should be able to get it for just over invoice without the GM $2002 special discount. Dealers make 3% (or more) for just the sale. If they sell it at cost, they still get that % from GM. So you should be able to get it at cost and receive the GM $2002 if you work at it.

Remember, its your money, and they want to take it from you. Work for every penny.

When you are working with the finance dept., know that they can EASILY change the interest rates to something lower, but they make more money if they can send you out the door at a higher rate.

Nineball

I used to be in the car business.

If you are looking at a new Sierra/Silverado, I'd offer invoice less the $2002 rebate. Ford is coming on strong with $2500 cash back right now. The invoice price can be calculated at kbb.com or edmunds.com. The dealer is still making 3% of the MSRP as holdback.

Remember you can also get 5.9% financing on top of the $2002 back.

You are right, Ford IS coming on strong! I got a pre-approved statement from a local Ford dealership for up to $37,590 for 5 years at 0% APR.

Damn that is making it HARD for me to resist getting a new F250 Powestroke X-cab 4x4 <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

Whatever truck I get, I won't be modifying anyways (performance-wise) most likely. I really just want a cool work truck and car hauler. All performance modifications on the truck will most likely be appearance and stereo stuff.

Tony,

Since I just bought a house, had a kid, my wife stays home, and have no more $$$ to buy a truck, I can live vicariously through you. You have to buy the 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Crew-Cab with the Duramax Diesel and the Allison tranny!!! That is a MAN's truck, and the only vehicle suitable for pulling your car to the track! You certainly can't show up to the track towing your ride with a Ford. ****, it's got enough torque to pull yours, and your buddies car to the track!
