i ran in 2wd because i can barley even chirp the tires on pavement. the track i didn't even chirp. when you guys launch with out a stall do you give it gas and hold the break. or just punch it?

I ran 16.1 w/ my K & N intake, magnaflow catback, hypertech set for 87 oct., and a 2" lift on 33s. That was my best time, the first couple runs were 16.3 - 16.4.

When I go to the track, I cram my foot down as hard as I can on the brake and bring up the RPMs to 900 or so then lot go of the brake on the 2nd yellow. I do nothing but roast the tires if I try to launch at anything higher, I'm 2WD RCSB tho. I don't understand how people with a 3000 stall can get anything close to resembling traction.

tell me about it. i can break the tires loose 1/2 throttle, sometimes 1/4 throttle with the yank 3000. so i use 4HI or auto 4WD. i don't like launching in auto 4 either. doesn't sound good, plus the rear tires break loose for a split second and sometimes i get a little wheelhop. 4HI seems much smoother.

before the TC i was getting 2.7 for 60', with the yank i am getting 2.49 which still sucks. i must be doing something wrong since you guys are getting better 60' times than me.

I get better 60' times than that in my 3.42 peg leg 2WD. Brake stall it, then hammer the gas when you release the brake, should drop those times.
