Default went back to the dyno again

i put all the shims in the wg to try and get a little more boost out of if but no luck. got exactly the same numbers. same max boost and same hp/tq.

i did push it till i saw some kr on pump just to try and get the "non race, pump gas" record on that dyno. i got up to 13psi before i saw a touch of kr. that was 560rwhp and 7xx tq, he is emailing me the data and i dont remember the exact tq. not bad for pump but i can't really run that on the street. more load gets me into KR sooler on the street so the11.5psi or so is about the street limit. that is around 525rwhp.

i think the header is holding me back at this point. 600+rwhp is something like 800fwhp, might just be the limit of a log style feed thru turbo header. i am sure it would make more power if i could get the boost higher but i am seeing around 50psi of exhaust presure and i think it is just pushing open the waste gate.

i found a dyno not to far away that gives me at least an hour for $50 and they are super cool so i will be going back there many times. it will be interesting to see how a new header/dp/exhaust helps, new heads some time, bigger turbo some time. i will be geting it dynoed every step of the way so it should be interesting.

parish, have you ever heard of using windshield washer fluid in the alky setup. the kind that is 20 below zero and up. a friend was telling me that he uses it on his twin turbo s10. according to him it has 50 percent methanol and the blue die doesn't hurt anything. Don't flame on me, cause i dont' know. just relaying what he was telling me. btw, he has seen your truck on the web.

i have been debating on an alkey set up or a seperate fuel system with race fuel.

i have also read up on using windshield washer fluid. i think the conclusion was strait meth work better but the washer fluid works in a pinch.
